As Pence Heads to Des Moines, DNC launches Digital Ads Highlighting Trump Failure on COVID

Ahead of Mike Pence’s event in Iowa today, the Democratic National Committee is launching Google display ads reaching voters in Des Moines to remind them about Trump’s failed response to the coronavirus.

The ads will reach voters in and surrounding Pence’s events in Des Moines with the message “This Administration Failed Us,” and will direct individuals to the DNC’s ad “Had Enough?” which highlights how Trump’s failure on coronavirus has cost American jobs and lives.

Over 1,600 Iowans have died from COVID-19, and hospitalizations in the state are currently skyrocketing. The state has reported over 120,000 positive cases of coronavirus.

“The reality of Trump’s record in Iowa is unavoidable: spiking COVID cases, manufacturing and agricultural jobs decimated, and now, even during a pandemic, he is continuing to attack Iowans’ health care and protections for people with preexisting conditions,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “Nothing Pence will say today changes the fact that Iowans are sick and tired of his broken promises and incompetence that is threatening their lives and livelihoods. And that’s why Iowans are holding Trump and Pence accountable by making their plan to participate in this election and voting them out of office.”
