DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement after Coloradans elected John Hickenlooper as their next U.S. senator:
“Congratulations to John Hickenlooper and Colorado Democrats on tonight’s victory. As governor, John Hickenlooper got things done for the people of Colorado by expanding Medicaid, spearheading legislation to combat pollution and climate change, and signing into law new gun safety measures to keep our communities safe. And he will continue to champion Colorado working families in the U.S. Senate. The DNC was proud to work with the Colorado Democratic Party and the Colorado Coordinated Campaign to organize voters, engage communities of color, and flip this seat blue.”
