Senator Mitch McConnell confirmed a GOP majority could focus on a federal abortion ban. DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel released the following statement:

“With Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell at the helm, Republicans have waged a war on abortion access. Now, McConnell is making clear that a federal abortion ban could be next on Republicans’ extreme MAGA agenda. And worse – Republicans across the country, including in McConnell’s own caucus, support banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest. This is what’s at stake in this election. Republicans continue to prove how dangerous Republican majorities would be, and voters will hold them accountable for their extremism.”
