BREAKING: DeSantis Takes Credit for Funding He Opposed… AGAIN
September 12, 2022
After calling President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan “Washington at its worst,” Ron DeSantis attempted to take credit for the funding it provided for law enforcement in Florida.
In response, DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:
“If Ron DeSantis had his way, police officers would not have gotten funding to protect their communities. Gaslighting voters and taking credit for funding he pushed against is simply par for the course with Ron DeSantis.”
DeSantis publicly opposed critical funding in the American Rescue Plan that helped American families recover from the pandemic.
Tallahassee Democrat: “DeSantis also said of the American Rescue Plan, ‘… It’s Washington at its worst.’”
This isn’t the first time DeSantis has misled Floridians and taken credit for President Biden’s accomplishments.
