With less than five weeks left until the midterm elections, Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison is out engaging voters and highlighting the importance of electing Democrats up and down the ballot this November. 

This week, Chair Harrison traveled to campaign for Democrats in the Grand Canyon State. Chair Harrison was joined by Arizona Democrats, Tribal leaders, and students and volunteers. 

Chair Harrison stopped by the Arizona State University campus to rally students ahead of November’s midterm elections, showed his support for volunteers and staff at the Arizona coordinated campaign office in Phoenix, met with Black community leaders at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and joined Tribal leaders from the Gila River Indian Community to discuss the Biden-Harris administration’s accomplishments. 

Chair Harrison also spoke with Black radio outlets in Philadelphia and syndicated radio across the country to discuss the upcoming midterm elections and lay out the choice in this election voters have between Democrats who are working to lower costs, defend women’s reproductive freedom, and fight against special interests, and Republicans who want to ban abortion nationwide, put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block, and make it harder for Arizonans to vote and jeopardize our democracy. He also highlighted the DNC’s historic investments and work to build state parties that will help propel Democrats to victory up and down the ballot. 

Chair Harrison closed out the week by virtually rallying Vermont Democratic candidates and organizers one month out from the election, and encouraging them to keep the momentum as we enter the final stretch to the election. Vermont could make history in November by electing Becca Balint, who would be the first woman to represent the state in Congress its more than 230-year history.
