Today’s MAGA Hot Mic honor falls on Ohio GOP Senate nominee J.D. Vance, who opened the door to supporting a NATIONAL ABORTION BAN on the debate stage this week. 

J.D. Vance said a federal abortion was “totally fine” with him.

J.D. Vance: “Some minimum national standard is totally fine with me.”

Columbus Dispatch: “Vance contends the issue should be regulated by state legislatures but said he would support a ‘minimum national standard’ for how far into a pregnancy abortions should be permitted.”

And let’s not forget – Vance has gone on the record multiple times supporting an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Columbus Dispatch: “He does not believe pregnant people should be allowed to have abortions in cases of rape or incest. In a Spectrum News 1 interview last year, Vance said ‘two wrongs don’t make a right.’”

Columbus Dispatch: “Vance has previously said he supports abortion when it’s necessary to save the pregnant person’s life, but he’s opposed to exceptions for cases of rape or incest.”

Daily Beast: “In a local news interview published Wednesday, author and venture capitalist turned Senate candidate J.D. Vance suggested he would support prohibiting abortion even in cases of rape and incest—and dismissed those catalysts as ‘inconvenient.’”

Let’s be perfectly clear: If Republicans like J.D. Vance win, they will be “totally fine” pushing for an extreme abortion ban at the federal level. THAT is the GOP’s real agenda.
