In response to Mike Pence’s CNN town hall, DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:

“We personally would not spend our birthday desperately spinning the American people, but Mike Pence kicked off his presidential campaign trying to rewrite his pivotal role in Donald Trump’s divisive and chaotic presidency. Let’s not forget: After championing justices who overturned Roe — paving the way for a national abortion ban — and working with Trump to try to cut Social Security and Medicare, Pence spent 2022 campaigning alongside election deniers. Mike Pence is just the latest Republican to stake out the most extreme positions possible as the GOP clamors to out-MAGA each other.”
