As Donald Trump hosts families of January 6 insurrectionists at his Bedminster golf club tonight, DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:
“Donald Trump’s blatant disregard for the principles of democracy knows no bounds. It wasn’t enough for him to spread baseless conspiracy theories about an election he lost by over 7 million votes, and it wasn’t enough for him to incite a violent mob to attack the Capitol and assault police officers — or promise to pardon those insurrectionists, lend his voice to a song recorded by jailed rioters, physically embrace a January 6 attendee at a campaign event, or throw his support behind election deniers on the campaign trail — now he has to host their families for dinner at his golf club tonight.”
