DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement in response to the July jobs report: 

“July’s jobs report is yet another confirmation that Bidenomics is working and driving economic growth for all Americans. Thanks to Bidenomics, the Biden-Harris administration has helped create over 13 million jobs, the unemployment rate has been under 4 percent for 18 months in a row – the longest stretch since the 1960s – and annual inflation has fallen for 12 months in a row and is down by more than half since last summer. 

“Despite historic economic growth characterized by month after month of steady job growth, American manufacturing coming back, and rising wages, MAGA Republicans continue to campaign on rolling back Bidenomics and returning to their reckless agenda centered on the same failed trickle-down economic policies of the past. While 2024 Republican hopefuls compete in a race to the bottom to secure the Republican nomination for president, the Biden-Harris administration will continue to work to build an economy that works for everyone – from the bottom up and middle out, not the top down – and they’re going to finish the job when voters send them back to the White House in 2024.”
