DNC on the 22nd Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks

DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement on the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

“Twenty-two years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were taken during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Our hearts still ache for the lives lost, the thousands injured, and the families whose lives were forever uprooted by this tragedy. Though 22 years have passed since these horrific attacks on our ideals of freedom and liberty, the images from that tragic day remind us of the heroes we lost. But as we grieve this day, we are also reminded of how in the midst of the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history, Americans came together and stood hand in hand to show the world that we will never succumb to fear. Today, we honor those who lost their lives as well as the first responders and survivors of this tragic attack by reaffirming our commitment to defending the ideals of freedom and liberty.”
