In response to Tim Scott refusing to support bipartisan legislation to accomplish his alleged goal of securing the border, DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: 

“If Tim Scott is looking for the reason why Congress hasn’t passed a law to improve border security, he just needs to look in the mirror. Scott and his fellow MAGA Republicans are doing Donald Trump’s bidding and putting partisan politics ahead of the American people — but voters see right through his lame excuses and will not let the GOP have it both ways this November.”

Tim Scott said Congress should pass a law to improve border security – despite opposing bipartisan legislation that does just that.

Scott: “We should first secure our southern border.”
