Sunday Scaries: Trump’s Surrogates Spew Baseless Election-Denying Lies and Conspiracy Theories

In response to Trump’s surrogates pushing baseless lies about the 2020 election on the Sunday shows, DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:

“J.D. Vance, Kari Lake, and Lindsey Graham each took to the airwaves today to parrot Donald Trump’s dangerous attacks on our democracy. From pushing the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen to sowing doubt in our election systems in 2024, these MAGA minions continue to show that they’ll say anything to prop up Trump’s baseless conspiracies that threaten our democratic institutions.”

J.D. Vance hedged on whether he would accept this November’s results, parroting Trump’s rhetoric to undermine the will of the voters.

Dana Bash, CNN: “Will you commit to accepting the results of this year’s election?”

J.D. Vance: “If it’s a free and fair election, I will accept the results, Dana.”

Lindsey Graham also refused to commit to accepting this election’s results, citing the unfounded threat of  “massive cheating.”

Kristen Welker, NBC News: “Will you accept the results of the 2024 election, no matter who wins?”

Lindsey Graham: “Yeah, I’ll accept them, if, I think, there’s no massive cheating.”

After a long rant filled with conspiracy theories and lies, Kari Lake said she was not confident this election would be fair.

Maria Bartiromo, Fox News: “So how confident are you, then, that we will have a fair election in November?”

Kari Lake: “If it were today, I wouldn’t be all that confident.”
