DNC Rolls Out Youth Voter Campaign at Taylor Swift’s Miami Concert and in the Battlegrounds with New Snapchat Filter and Ads Directing to IWillVote.com
October 18, 2024
New Snapchat filter empowers young voters to express what they are “fearless” for, new boat billboard and billboards across Miami remind voters they’re in their “Kamala era”
Today, with Taylor Swift set to perform in Miami, the DNC launched a Taylor Swift-themed ‘I Will Vote’ campaign targeting youth voters across the battleground states. The campaign includes an exclusive new Snapchat filter urging young voters to be “fearless” on the issues that will decide this election – from reproductive rights to economic opportunity – and visit IWillVote.com to learn how to cast their ballot for Vice President Harris this November. The ads will kick off in Miami with a mobile billboard on a boat near Swift’s concert venue in Miami, billboards all across Miami, and a Snapchat filter available to users in the battleground states. The ads welcome voters to their “Kamala Era” and direct young voters to IWillVote.com so that they have the resources they need to vote and send Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz to the White House this November.
“This election will determine the future for young voters, from student loan debt relief and economic opportunity to whether they have fewer rights than their grandmothers did,” said Rosemary Boeglin, DNC Communications Director. “Democrats are reaching out to young voters where they are, from concert venues to social media platforms, to make sure they have the resources they need to cast their ballot. We’re not taking any vote for granted, and we’ll continue to make sure young voters across the country know everything that’s at stake and the stark contrast between Vice President Harris’ New Way Forward and Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda. Our country’s youth are mobilized to speak now for the future they deserve, and they’ll elect Vice President Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and Democrats down the ballot in November.”
