DNC Announces Six-Figure “I Will Vote” Turnout Campaign Reaching AANHPI Voters Across The Country

Today, the DNC announced a six-figure ‘I Will Vote’ paid media campaign engaging Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across the country. The campaign will run in 24 constituency outlets nationally and in key markets in Florida, New York, and Texas to reach AANHPI voters through trusted sources and in multiple languages to encourage Democratic turnout. Asian American voters have the power to be the margin of victory in critical down-ballot races and help secure a majority for Democrats in the House and Senate.

The DNC’s ‘I Will Vote’ campaign directs voters to the DNC’s most complete, accurate, and up-to-date national coverage of polling places and voter education information all in one place. The latest ‘I Will Vote’ paid campaign will engage key communities through trusted constituency-owned media, reaching AANHPI voters across the country and empowering them with the resources they need to register and make a plan to vote. Print and digital advertisements will run in several languages, including Korean, Tagalog, Filipino, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, and radio ads will encourage voting in Vietnamese, English, Korean, and Chinese.

“AANHPI voters have the power to be the margin of victory in crucial down-ballot races that could decide the direction of the future of our country,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “The DNC is reaching AANHPI voters through sources they trust and in languages they speak to ensure that every voter has the resources they need to cast their ballot in the most important election of our lifetimes. Democrats aren’t taking any votes for granted, and by mobilizing every corner of our broad coalition, we’ll not only send Vice President Harris to the White House, but ensure Democratic majorities in Congress.”

“As Democrats are reaching AANHPI voters, we understand that these communities are not monolithic, and our ‘I Will Vote’ campaign is a direct reflection of that,” said DNC Acting Co-Executive Director Roger Lau. “The DNC is focused on multigenerational targeted AANHPI outreach, tailoring our messaging and resources to both non-English speaking first-generation AANHPI Americans as well as second and third-generation AANHPI Americans who prefer to speak English. The AANHPI community is a critical and important part of the Democratic coalition, and we are meeting them where they get their information to turn out the vote with a community that has the power to decide the outcome of this election.”

Supporting and Investing in Reaching AANHPI Communities

Democrats have been fighting for a new way forward for all Americans, including Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across the country. Prior to today’s announcement, the DNC invested nearly six figures in paid media, translation efforts, and paid programming reaching the AANHPI community this cycle alone. Those investments include the DNC’s Translation Assistance Program, which helps state parties translate voter registration and voter education materials into 28 languages, including Bengali, Chinese (traditional and simplified), Hindi, Hmong, Korean, Tagalog, Telugu, Vietnamese, and Yup’ik.
