DNC Statement on Arab American Heritage Month

DNC Chair Ken Martin, DNC Ethnic Council Chair Dr. James Zogby, and DNC Interfaith Council Co-Chair Reem Subei released the following statement marking Arab American Heritage Month:

“This April, Democrats proudly recognize the rich heritage and enduring legacy of Arab Americans. From the early days building communities across our nation to ongoing contributions to modern culture, science, and public life, Arab Americans have helped shape and strengthen our nation throughout its history and today.

“As we celebrate Arab American communities across the country, we also recognize how they have had to overcome systemic discrimination, violence, and hate. It is why we continue our work to foster understanding, bring down barriers, and combat anti-Arab racism in all its forms. Across the country, Democrats are committed to ensuring that every American can fully participate in our democracy and realize the promise of the American Dream.”
