The DNC congratulates Lindsay James on tonight’s victory in the Democratic primary for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District — a race that will help flip the House of Representatives in November. Democratic voters throughout Iowa turned out to back candidates like James who are focused on lowering costs, protecting healthcare, fighting for rural communities, and delivering for working families. 

In response to Lindsay James’ victory, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement: 

“Lindsay James is a champion for working families who will deliver for the people of Iowa. As a state representative and a chaplain, she has fought to expand access to healthcare, lower costs, and invest in rural communities.
