The DNC congratulates Everton Blair on winning the special election for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District. Georgia voters once again turned out to back a candidate who is focused on fighting for working families and making life more affordable.
In response to Blair winning the special election, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
“As an educator, former Gwinnett County School Board Chair, and lifelong Georgian, Everton Blair is a proven champion who knows how to deliver for families throughout the state’s 13th Congressional District. In Congress, he will prioritize lowering costs, expanding access to healthcare, protecting workers, supporting public education, making housing more affordable, safeguarding Social Security and Medicare, and investing in local communities. I know that Everton will be a congressman who always fights to put Georgia families first.”
