Between Trump’s never-ending war and Republicans’ reckless policies, it’s no surprise that the average U.S. family has already been forced to spend $4,200 more on goods and services since he took office. For countless Americans, those additional dollars spent make it harder to pay rent, put food on the table, and afford a trip to the doctor’s office.
Let’s be clear: No matter how hard Trump tries to spin these skyrocketing costs as a “very inexpensive price to pay,” the reality is that working families are going into debt or emptying out their savings just to afford basic necessities.
