In response to the Senate’s bipartisan health care agreement, DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement:
“This bipartisan agreement will help to fix the mess created by President Trump’s refusal to continue crucial payments that make health care more affordable to Americans.
“Instead of sabotaging health care markets for political gain, Trump and Republican leaders must begin working across the aisle on a long-term solution to strengthen our system, because threatening to repeal the Affordable Care Act and pushing for a budget that would gut Medicare and Medicaid will only hurt American families.”
