DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s Statement on Nice, France Attack
July 15, 2016
WASHINGTON – DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz issued the following statement:
“Our hearts are with the French people today in the aftermath of last night's deadly terror attack. We are praying for all the victims and their families, including the two Americans killed in the attack, Sean Copeland of Texas and his 11-year-old son Brodie. Even as we mourn, we stand strong with our democratic allies in France and across the world. We will never cower; we will never submit to cowards who seek to terrorize the peaceful or harm the innocent. We remain resolutely, unshakably united in common cause for the virtues of liberté, égalité, fraternité, and our confidence is absolute that the terrorists will be defeated.”
