Tom Perez announced today that Raffi Krikorian is joining the Democratic National Committee's senior leadership team as the ChiefTechnology Officer, where he will bring his industry experience to build and invest in the state-of-the-art technology, security, and analytics infrastructure to help Democrats win.

Raffi is a technology executive with more than 15 years of experience building technical tools and leading technical teams. He was an early leader at Twitter, where he served as vice president of engineering in charge of Platform Engineering, overseeing the core infrastructure of Twitter.

“Bringing Raffi aboard marks a major milestone in our commitment to rebuilding the Democratic Party into an organization built to win elections immediately and over the long term,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez.  “Under my watch, the DNC is committed to giving Democrats an unprecedented technological edge.  Raffi will spearhead our team’s efforts to provide resources to our state parties and build a nimble structure that can push the envelope of innovation while simultaneously shoring up the organization’s institutional defenses.  I believe Raffi is just the person to lead the charge on this increasingly important effort.”

In addition to his work at Twitter, Raffi was the director in charge and the software lead at Uber's Advanced Technologies Center. Earlier in his career, Raffi developed technologies to help people frame their personal energy consumption against global energy production and also ran a consulting company.
