Trump keeps claiming that nobody could have seen the coronavirus pandemic coming. That’s simply not true. He was warned repeatedly, but chose to do nothing.

We just learned of two new times that Trump was warned:

The Pentagon warned the White House years ago about the threat and supply shortages.

The Nation: “The Pentagon warned the White House about a shortage of ventilators, face masks, and hospital beds in 2017—but the Trump administration did nothing.”

The Army warned Trump in early February that the coronavirus could kill as many as 150,000 Americans.

The Daily Beast: “An unclassified briefing document on the novel coronavirus prepared on Feb. 3 by U.S. Army-North projected that ‘between 80,000 and 150,000 could die.’”
