24 Hours of Trump First, America Last

The Trump administration has been marked by chaos. Trump has put his own political interests over those of the American people, even risking a constitutional crisis, and he continues to personally profit off his presidency. Trump’s agenda puts him first, and America last.

Just look at the news over the last 24 hours:

Another Republican fundraiser will be held tonight at Trump’s hotel in Washington, so President Trump will personally profit from it.

CNN’s Manu Raju: “Pence tonight speaking at a big donor event for McConnell’s super PAC at the Trump hotel in Washington”

Trump has brought the U.S. “back to the brink of a constitutional showdown.”

CNN: “President Donald Trump has wrenched the United States back to the brink of a constitutional showdown after a weekend of rage culminated in his demand for an investigation into claims that the Obama administration inserted a spy in his 2016 campaign. Trump's power play injected fresh intensity into his escalating political offensive against the Justice Department and renewed worries he is barging across long-held boundaries between the judicial system and the Oval Office.”

Trump’s foreign policy agenda has been undermined by the chaos he creates — leaving further uncertainty with China and North Korea.

Washington Post: “As an emboldened Trump reaches for historic triumphs in hopes of bolstering his party’s prospects in November’s midterm elections, he finds himself repeatedly stymied by his old patterns of chaos and contradiction. Trump’s agenda has been undermined by mixed messages and internal squabbles from within his administration — all compounded by the president’s own lack of discipline and his inconsistent ideology.”

Politico: “President Donald Trump and his administration’s lack of a consistent and coherent foreign policy is confusing U.S. allies and ceding ground to countries that do not share America’s interests, a group of foreign policy experts said at a debate on Monday evening.”
