Ahead of Holiday Travel, DNC Unveils New Billboard in Atlanta, Thanking President Biden for Safer Roads, Better Airports

President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Will Improve Georgia’s Airports, Roads, Bridges, and Highways

Today, the Democratic National Committee is unveiling a new billboard in Atlanta, Georgia highlighting how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed by President Biden and Georgia Democrats will create smoother future holiday travel with better airports and safer roads. 

The billboard is located at the connection point of I-285 and I-85 south near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It will be up for one month. 

“As Americans travel to be with their loved ones this holiday season, we want to make sure folks in Georgia know that better roads, highways, bridges, airports are on the way, thanks to President Biden’s and Georgia Democrats’ leadership,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “The President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will improve highways, repair bridges, improve public transportation, and modernize our airports, easing stress and making it easier for Georgians to get around and stay connected.” 

Thanks to President Biden’s leadership, Georgia can expect to receive:

  • Nearly $9 billion to improve highways and over $220 million for bridge replacement and repairs over five years.
     
  • $1.4 billion over five years to improve public transportation options across the state.
     
  • Over $120 million for FY22 to modernize airport infrastructure, improve experiences for travelers, strengthen safety, support good jobs, and make America’s travel hubs more sustainable.
