Ahead of Pence’s Visit to Cincinnati, DNC Unveils New Billboard Slamming Trump’s Failed Pandemic Response

Today, ahead of Mike Pence’s campaign event in Cincinnati, the Democratic National Committee unveiled a new billboard near the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, highlighting how Trump’s failed coronavirus response has hurt Ohio — leading to the deaths of more than 5,000 Ohioans and spiking hospitalizations.

The billboard, near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Reading Road, will run for one week.

“Voters in the Buckeye State won’t be able to miss this message: Donald Trump’s failed, incompetent coronavirus response has cost too many Ohioans their health, lives, and livelihoods,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “When Mike Pence comes to town, he’ll be greeted by the consequences of his boss’s record: spiking COVID-19 cases, surging hospitalization rates, and Ohioans outraged that Trump is trying to rip away their health care coverage in the middle of a pandemic. Ohioans deserve better, and they’re casting their ballots to put this chaos to an end.”

Also today, the Ohio Democratic Party is hosting a virtual roundtable with suburban mothers and grandmothers from across Ohio to discuss the threats posed by Trump’s efforts to overturn the Affordable Care Act.
