Ahead of President Biden’s Event in Delaware County, DNC Launches Digital Homepage Takeover of Delaware County Daily Times to Highlight American Rescue Plan

Ahead of President Biden’s event highlighting the American Rescue Plan in Delaware County this afternoon, the Democratic National Committee today launched a new daylong digital advertising campaign taking over the homepage of the Delaware County Daily Times thanking the president for delivering needed relief to Americans.

“There’s one thing Pennsylvanians need to know when President Biden comes to Delaware County this afternoon: Help is here,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “With measures including direct payments of up to $1,400 per person and resources to help manufacture and distribute vaccines, the American Rescue Plan will provide the relief working families need and overwhelmingly want, while showing that the government is again working for the people. Thanks to Pennsylvanians’ votes to elect President Biden last November, the American Rescue Plan is law, and vaccinations and checks of up to $1,400 are going out across the country. This is what real leadership looks like — not the Pennsylvania Republicans in Congress who stood in the way of relief. ”

The homepage takeover will place ads on every available area of the Delco Times’ homepage today, reaching voters in the county in which President Biden is set to hold this afternoon’s event promoting the American Rescue Plan.

The ads thank President Biden for the American Rescue Plan, which will deliver “$1,400 checks & shots in arms” to families in Pennsylvania and across the country. The ads also link to the DNC’s new commercial, “Help is Here,” which outlines the crucial funds  going out to families and helping to ramp up vaccinations nationwide.

Today’s homepage takeover is the latest step the DNC has taken to make sure Americans know help is here with President Biden’s American Rescue Plan. The DNC’s ad, launched this past week, is currently airing on national cable and in crucial battleground states across the country. Digital billboards thanking Democrats for voting for checks of up to $1,400 and shots in arms while criticizing local Republicans for opposing the law are also up in several states.
