America Met Judge Jackson And Really Liked Her, Despite Gross Republican Attacks

Last week, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson displayed her qualifications with unbelievable grace as Senate Republicans berated, disrespected, and demeaned her. Despite it all, the American people have rallied around her, making her one of the most popular Supreme Court nominees in decades.

After last week’s Senate hearings, poll after poll shows the American people overwhelmingly support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation.

USA Today: “Two-thirds of Americans back Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for Supreme Court, poll shows”

Marquette University: “New Marquette Law School Poll national survey finds nearly 2 to 1 support for nomination of Judge Katanji Brown Jackson to the US Supreme Court, with 66% of adults saying they would vote for Jackson if they were senators, 34% saying they would vote against. #mulawpoll”

Marquette University: “Polling went on before and during Senate confirmation hearing for Jackson. Support for her was 64% among those polled before the hearings started and 72% among those polled after the hearings started. #mulawpoll”

Bloomberg Law: “Jackson Supported for Supreme Court by 2-1 Margin, Poll Finds”

Gallup: “Supreme Court Nominee Jackson’s Support Tied for Highest”

It’s no wonder Judge Jackson’s nomination has earned support from senators on both sides of the aisle:

New York Times: “Collins to Back Jackson for Supreme Court, Giving Her a G.O.P. Vote”

CNN: “Manchin says he will vote for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson”

Senator Dick Durbin: “I strongly urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to take a look at this woman and what she will bring to the Court … She is the best and deserves our support.”
