In response to Rep. Emmer dropping out of the race for speaker of the House, marking the third failed nomination for the House GOP in three weeks, DNC spokesperson Sarafina Chitika released the following statement:

“Shortly after noon, the House GOP clown show had a speaker nominee. Four hours later, they didn’t. What happened in between? Donald Trump pulled his endorsement. It’s plain and simple: What Donald Trump says goes, and his extreme MAGA mentality continues to define the Republican Party and hurt the American people.”
