As Early Voting Begins in California, Democrats Urge Californians To Make Their Voices Heard

Today, as Californians celebrate the opening of ballot drop boxes across the state, the DNC is ensuring voters have all the information they need to make voting early easy in the most important election of our lifetimes.

“Californians understand the stakes of this election: economic opportunity, fundamental freedoms, and the democratic values that unite us,” said DNC Spokesperson Cameron Niven. “On the first day Californians can return their ballots via ballot drop-off locations in California, it has never been more important to participate in our democracy, talk to your friends and family about voting, and ensure every Californian is empowered with the information they need to request and cast their ballot. Donald Trump and JD Vance are pushing an extreme Project 2025 agenda that would benefit only the ultra-wealthy and corporations, roll back our rights, and raise prices for hardworking people. Californians can head to IWillVote.com/CA to learn how to reject Trump’s extreme agenda by making their voices heard and voting early in person, sending their ballot by mail, dropping them off at drop off locations, or casting their vote on Election Day. In the most important election of our lifetimes, Californians have the power to chart a New Way Forward with Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ticket.”

I Will Vote is the Democratic Party’s one-stop shop for voter education and information. Voters can check if they are registered to vote, learn how to register, register online if their state allows it, find their polling location and learn how to cast a mail-in or early ballot. The Text-Line is the latest voter assistance feature of the DNC’s I Will Vote program, with support also available through IWillVote.com and the National Voter Information Hotline in English and Spanish, with additional languages to come ahead of Election Day. Voters can access I Will Vote by texting VOTE to 70888 or VOTO to 70888 for Spanish. IWillVote.com is also available in Spanish at VoyAVotar.com.
