BREAKING: CBP Chief Greg Bovino Gets Canned, But Trump and Noem Are Still Waging a Campaign of Chaos and Terror

New reporting today revealed that Donald Trump’s Border Patrol commander at large, Gregory Bovino, has been removed from his role after federal immigration agents killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti in Minneapolis on Saturday. According to reporting, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and her “part-time” adviser Corey Lewandowski championed Bovino during his time as “Border Commander” and are also at risk of losing their jobs.

In response, DNC Communications Director Rosemary Boeglin released the following statement:

Greg Bovino’s firing should be the first, not the last. An American citizen was murdered this weekend at the hands of federal agents. Donald Trump can hide away at movie screenings of ‘Melania,’ but the American people know he’s behind this campaign of terror and violence. And they won’t forget that in the immediate wake of a tragic murder, Trump, JD Vance and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem took to the airwaves to slander the victim and spread lies. Trump and Vance should immediately fire Noem, Stephen Miller, and Corey Lewandowski — or else they are sending a clear message to voters that getting murdered for exercising your constitutional rights is acceptable in Trump’s America.”

Amid record-low approval ratings, Trump is bracing for disaster in the midterms. In a new poll, Americans’ approval of Trump and Vance’s immigration policy fell to its lowest level since Trump’s return to the White House, with a majority of Americans saying his crackdown on immigration has gone too far.

Trump’s approval rating has slipped on the economy, too. Approval of Trump’s handling of the economy and immigration — among his best issues when he entered office — are each down about 10 points since March.
