Cities Are Fighting Back Against Trump’s Sabotage Of The ACA
August 2, 2018
Trump and Republicans have sabotaged Americans’ health care, causing premiums to skyrocket across the country. Now, cities across the country are fighting back by filing a lawsuit that says Trump’s sabotage violates the Constitution. It’s clear why voters overwhelmingly trust Democrats over Trump and Republicans on health care.
Health care premiums would be going down next year, if it weren’t for Trump and Republican sabotage.
Brookings: “In a stable policy environment, average premiums for ACA-compliant plans would likely fall in 2019”
Trump’s sabotage is causing health care premiums to surge.
NBC News: “Insurance companies are hiking rates in the individual market, citing decisions being made in Washington. And premiums are set to surge in 2019. Proposed hikes have been announced for 27 states, with 25 containing increases over and above the previous year.”
Cities across the country are fighting back by filing a lawsuit that says Trump’s relentless sabotage violates the U.S. Constitution.
NBC News: “After congressional Republicans repeatedly failed last year to repeal the Affordable Care Act, President Trump promised to ‘let Obamacare implode’ on its own. A new lawsuit being filed Thursday argues that Trump’s efforts to make good on that promise violate the U.S. Constitution. Trump has ‘waged a relentless effort to use executive action alone to undermine and, ultimately, eliminate the law,’ the complaint charges, according to a draft obtained by NBC News.”
