“Michigan Democrats said President Donald Trump’s 2021 budget proposal shows his priorities contradict his promises to protect health care for vulnerable Americans.
“Trump’s fourth budget proposal, a largely symbolic document intended to influence Congress and outline the president’s policy vision, seeks to cut $844 billion for the ‘president’s health reform vision’ during the next decade. Cuts to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act subsidies total $1 trillion, the Associated Press reported, drawing harsh criticism from congressional Democrats.”

“A media release noted that ‘despite the clear threat this issue is posing to the Sunshine State, Trump’s proposed 2021 budget slashes funding for agencies critical to addressing this emergency, including a 26% cut to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).’”
