DNC Announces $5 Million Investment in GOTV, Voter Mobilization and Voter Protection

WASHINGTON – Today the Democratic National Committee announced that it will transfer $2.5 million to both ($5 million total) the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for critical general election activities.

“I’m thrilled to announce that the DNC is partnering with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to ramp up our national get-out-the-vote, voter mobilization and voter protection efforts,” said DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile. “By transferring $2.5 million to each of our campaign committees, the Democratic Party is putting our resources where it matters most – in the states. For the remaining eight weeks of this election, we’re going to out-organize and out-mobilize Republicans across the country to make sure we win more seats in the House and Senate, and elect Hillary Clinton as our next President.”

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Sen. Jon Tester said, “We are glad to have the support of the DNC as we work to win back the Senate majority and once again have a Senate that is focused on commonsense solutions for working families. Ensuring we cross the finish line with a victory in November is a team effort, and these resources will help ensure we have a robust voter mobilization operation that is getting out the vote and ensuring fair access to the ballot box.”

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Rep. Ben Ray Luján issued the following statement: “House Democrats are on offense, and with this important financial support from the DNC, we will be able to drive even deeper into the Republican-held map. Democrats will work as a team to organize and turn out voters all across the country against the reckless agenda of Donald Trump and the congressional Republicans who stand with him.”
