DNC Announces New Investments in New Jersey
October 27, 2017
Today, the Democratic National Committee announced a new six-figure investment in New Jersey’s critical November elections. This investment will assist Phil Murphy, Sheila Oliver, and Democrats running up and down the ticket in New Jersey with GOTV organizing efforts, digital, data, and tech infrastructure.
The DNC will be working in partnership with the Murphy for Governor campaign, the coordinated campaign, and the Democratic Party of New Jersey to help implement training programs, mobilize organizers across the state and implement constituency-specific organizing.
“We are just 13 days away from one of the most consequential elections in New Jersey’s history, and the DNC is committed to helping lift Phil Murphy, Sheila Oliver, and Democratic candidates up and down the ticket to victory in November. That’s why we’ve made significant investments in digital, data, and tech operations,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “Phil Murphy believes in building an economy that serves the people, not the special interests, and he has a plan to make sure more hardworking New Jerseyans can find good jobs with decent pay. But Kim Guadagno would continue Chris Christie’s disastrous legacy and fight for the wealthiest corporations at the expense of working families. After nearly eight years of Chris Christie and Kim Guadagno’s failed leadership, New Jerseyans don’t need another governor who will be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s agenda. They need a governor who will fight for them. And that’s Phil Murphy.”
The DNC under Tom Perez is about winning elections and organizing around electoral opportunities up and down the ballot in 2017, 2018, and beyond.
