| Yesterday, President Biden and Democrats secured an agreement on the details of a once-in-a-generation investment in our infrastructure, which was just taken up in the Senate for consideration on a bipartisan vote. In response, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement.
“This historic, bipartisan infrastructure deal shows the American people what is possible when we have competent leaders in charge. Thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ tireless work, the bipartisan infrastructure deal puts our country on track to create hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs, continue to grow our economy, and make much-needed improvements to our nation’s infrastructure. There’s no doubt Americans will see the long-lasting benefits of this deal.
“President Biden promised to work across the aisle to deliver results for working families, and yesterday’s deal shows we can come together to position American workers, farmers, and businesses to compete and win in the 21st century. Now, the Senate must move to pass this deal on a bipartisan basis, as well as continue to push ahead on President Biden’s Build Back Better Agenda.” |
