| Earlier today, Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison joined the mayors of three major port cities to thank President Biden and Democrats for delivering on his promise to pass an infrastructure plan after less than one year in office. The mayors joining today’s call – hailing from Portsmouth, NH; Richmond, VA; and Savannah, GA – praised Democrats for providing major federal funding to improve waterways and upgrade port infrastructure for their cities. President Biden’s infrastructure plan includes unprecedented investments for our ports and waterways, which will not only help strengthen supply chains, but also lower costs for working families, create good-paying jobs, and improve U.S. competitiveness. Our ports must be up-to-date and well-equipped.
