After the U.S. Department of Labor released the latest jobs and unemployment numbers, DNC Chair and former Labor Secretary Tom Perez released the following statement:

“President Trump continues to put all of the progress President Obama made in jeopardy. In fact, job growth is weaker today than it was during the last four years of the Obama administration and wage growth remains too slow. This is what happens when Donald Trump and Republicans cater to the rich instead of building an economy for working families. Instead of supporting policies that build up the middle class and help create good-paying jobs, Trump has provided giant tax giveaways to corporations and the wealthiest, caused anxiety for workers, and sparked instability in our financial markets. Democrats will continue to put American workers first, and fight for better jobs and wages for all Americans.”
