DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement on Passover:

“This evening, millions of Jewish families around the world will read from the Haggadah and celebrate the story of Passover. While the current crisis will prevent many families from gathering around a physical Seder table, many will be coming together virtually. We will be inspired in new ways by the hope and perseverance of the Israelites’ journey from persecution to the Promised Land.

“In these trying times for our nation and for the world, the story of the Exodus reminds us to keep fighting for freedom and against anti-Semtism and bigotry wherever it is found. Together, we will overcome this crisis, and we will continue our work to repair the world. Chag sameach.”
