Last week, Democrat Analilia Mejia won the New Jersey District 11 special election Democratic primary, the seat formerly held by Governor Mikie Sherrill. 

From now until Election Day, the DNC is all-in to support Mejia, who will fight to lower costs and protect health care for hardworking New Jersey families who are suffering under Trump and Republicans’ billionaire-first agenda. 

In response to Mejia’s victory, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement: 

“Analilia Mejia ran a powerful grassroots campaign laser focused on ensuring our economy works for families, not billionaires. From skyrocketing utility and grocery costs to Trump holding the Gateway Tunnel project hostage, New Jersey families are paying the price for Trump and New Jersey Republicans’ toxic agenda. New Jersey deserves a fighter and not a spineless Trump lackey. From now until Election Day, the DNC is all-in to ensure Analilia Mejia clinches victory.”
