DNC Greets Trump With Billboards Blanketing NV & AZ Highlighting Failed COVID Response

Ahead of Trump’s visits to Nevada and Arizona this week, the Democratic National Committee blanketed the states with billboards holding him accountable for his failed coronavirus response.

In Nevada, the DNC unveiled a slate of three digital billboards in northern and southern Nevada, including in Reno and Carson City to greet many of the Nevadans traveling to Trump’s event, and in Las Vegas less than two miles from Trump International Hotel. In Arizona, the DNC deployed a mobile billboard in Phoenix and outside of Trump’s event venue in Tucson with facts about how Trump’s failed coronavirus response has hurt Arizona families, including audio of Trump saying the virus will disappear. In Nevada:

KLAS: DNC rolls out new billboards during President Trump’s visit to Nevada. “In response to President Trump’s latest trip to the Silver State, the Democratic National Committee unveiled a new slate of digital billboards in southern and northern Nevada, highlighting what they call ‘Trump’s failed pandemic response.’ The billboards located in northern Nevada are located along U.S. Highway 50 in Carson City and on Interstate 580 in South Reno, meaning that many people at President Trump’s rally would have passed them on the way to the Carson City Airport. The billboard in southern Nevada, located between the Sahara Avenue exit off Interstate 15 and Las Vegas Boulevard, is less than two miles from Trump International Hotel and near the Las Vegas Strip.”

KLAS: “Democrats are continuing to criticize the president’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic fallout. The Democratic National Committee even put these billboards across the state, including one not too far from Trump Tower, calling the administration a failure.”

This Is Reno: “Nevada Democrats used Trump’s rally as a chance to roll out a billboard advertising campaign in Las Vegas and Carson City. Two billboards were placed on the route from Reno to Carson City to greet travelers to Trump’s Carson City rally. A third in southern Nevada is just off Interstate 15 on the way to Trump’s hotel. The message: ‘This Administration Failed Us.’”

In Arizona:

AZ Family: “Ahead of President Trump’s visits today, the DNC has launched these mobile billboards, calling out what they call the president’s ‘failed pandemic response.’ The [Arizona Democratic Party] also held a Zoom call this morning, where former Arizona Republican Attorney General Grant Woods — a fierce critic of the president — criticized the coronavirus response.”

KVOA: “Mobile billboards greeted the president at the airport in Tucson and in Phoenix. The Democratic National Committee launched billboards calling out the president’s failed response to the pandemic. The signs display Arizona coronavirus statistics, such as detailing the number of cases and deaths in the state. The billboard also played audio of the president saying, ‘It’s going to disappear. It is disappearing.’”

KGUN: “Democrats are also preparing for the president’s visit to Arizona. Today, the Democratic National Committee is setting up mobile billboard trucks to drive in Phoenix and Tucson ahead of and during the president’s visits. The DNC says the messages will focus on the president’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
