October 21, 2020
The ads will run in Chinese, English, Hindi, Korean, Telugu and Urdu, and Vietnamese in national and local outlets to reach 1 million AAPI voters in key battleground states and across the country
Today, the Democratic National Committee is announcing a new multilingual print, digital, and radio advertising campaign to reach 1 million AAPI voters in key battleground states and across the country.
The ads will reach voters in Chinese, English, Hindi, Korean, Telugu and Urdu, and Vietnamese in national constituency media, including the Korea Times, Nguoi Viet, and World Journal, as well as local print, digital, and radio outlets in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. AAPIs are currently the fastest-growing demographic group in the electorate.
“Democrats are meeting AAPI voters where they are and in the language they speak by making historic investments to ensure AAPIs across the country have the information they need to make their plan to vote,” said DNC Chair Tom Perez. “The stakes have never been higher — especially for AAPI communities — and we are committed to making sure voters have the tools to make their voices heard at the ballot box, and elect leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who will fight to build a brighter future for AAPI families.”
The advertising campaign, which is part of the DNC’s six-figure investment in get-out-the-vote ads in constituency media, begins this week and will direct individuals to IWillVote.com — the DNC’s newly updated voter participation hub, where voters can register to vote, check their voter registration, and make a plan to vote, whether in person or by mail.
The new ad campaign follows the recent rollout of new features on IWillVote.com that helps voters easily request and return their ballot by mail, as well as learn important information about the voting process in their state as they make their plan to vote.
The ads will run in:
