DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement on the recent anti-Semitic attack in Monsey, NY: 

“I am heartbroken and appalled by last night’s anti-Semitic attack in Monsey, NY. This horrific tragedy is part of a disturbing wave of violence against people of faith in America, especially Jewish communities. All Americans should be able to live and worship in peace.

“Our leaders must promote hope and unity, not fear and division. They must fight hatred, not fuel it. And as a nation, we must come together and condemn anti–Semitism and all forms of bigotry in our country. My prayers are with the victims, their families, and the community.”
