DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement commending the passage of the American Dream and Promise Act in the House of Representatives:

“This has been long overdue. Dreamers are vital members of our communities. They are our classmates and co-workers, our friends and neighbors, our brothers and our sisters–and they deserve the opportunity to stay in the only country they have ever called home.

“It’s time for Senate Republicans to recognize the countless contributions of Dreamers, and join Democrats in providing them with a clear pathway to citizenship.”
