In response to a Washington Post report on Ivanka Trump’s business, DNC spokesperson Daniel Wessel released the following statement:

“It appears hypocrisy runs in the Trump family. Ivanka talks about improving the lives of working women and President Trump says we need to ‘buy American,’ but Ivanka makes her products exclusively in foreign factories and her business lags behind industry standards in its treatment of women. Like President Trump, Ivanka’s business practices violate the very principles she talks about, making it clear their rhetoric is nothing more than political posturing. Americans have a hard time trusting that the Trumps will do anything other than look out for themselves.”
