DNC Chair Jaime Harrison issued the following statement celebrating Labor Day:

Working people built this country. They are the reason our nation continues to be the envy of the world. The Democratic Party is proud of our work to uplift working people. From our efforts to lower prescription drug prices and health care costs, to our tireless defense of Social Security and Medicare, we will never stop fighting on behalf of working Americans. 

We are equally committed to unions. President Biden is a tireless advocate for labor. As Democrats, we will continue to fight for passage of the PRO Act and to protect the right of any worker to unionize. This Labor Day, we celebrate our commitment to working people and dedicate ourselves to fighting on their behalf.
