DNC on Millions of Americans Signing up for Health Care

In response to reports that 11.8 million Americans signed up for the Affordable Care Act in 2018, DNC spokesperson Daniel Wessel released the following statement:

“For over a year now, Trump and Republicans have sabotaged and tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act, making it more difficult for millions of Americans to get the care they need. Despite their best attempts to depress enrollment and take away people’s health care, nearly 11.8 million Americans signed up for coverage this year – a remarkable demonstration of Americans’ support for the ACA. While these numbers would have been higher without Republicans standing in the way, it’s clear that the American people want affordable health care coverage. It’s about time Republicans listen.”
