Following the results of the New Mexico primary, DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement:

“I’d like to congratulate Michelle Lujan Grisham and Martin Heinrich on their victories in the Democratic primary. Along with Rep. Lujan Grisham and Senator Heinrich, we have a fantastic slate of Democrats running up and down the ballot. The Democratic National Committee was proud to invest $100,000 in the Democratic Party of New Mexico to expand their organizing, engagement, and mobilization efforts so that we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot in all 33 counties. The policies of outgoing Governor Susana Martinez and Republican gubernatorial nominee Rep. Steve Pearce have left far too many New Mexico families behind. And as long as Democrats continue to lead with our values and organize everywhere, we can win in November – in New Mexico and across the country.”
