DNC on Rick Scott’s Travel to Georgia
October 11, 2022
As Rick Scott heads to Georgia today to campaign with Herschel Walker, DNC spokesperson Ammar Moussa released the following statement:
“Georgia Republicans are rolling out the red carpet for Rick Scott as he doubles and triples down on his plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block. This visit is simply a reminder to Georgians who rely on Social Security and Medicare that our country simply can’t afford Republican control in Washington.”
Rick Scott’s plan would put Social Security and Medicare at risk for nearly two million Georgians.
Scott’s “Plan to Rescue America”: “All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years.”
Joint Economic Committee: 1,773,000 Georgians receive Medicare benefits and 1,903,000 receive Social Security benefits
Scott has shamelessly doubled and tripled down on his plans to threaten Social Security and Medicare if Republicans take the majority in Congress.
