DNC Deputy Communications Director Sabrina Singh issued the following statement on Scott Pruitt’s comments stating that global warming is not “necessarily a bad thing.”

“Wrong. Scott Pruitt just made the honor roll in the Trump administration’s school of alternative facts. His latest reckless comments alleging that global warming could be a good thing for our planet are not only absurd, they are an affront to the entire concept of science. Sadly, this dangerous disregard for the truth isn’t surprising. This is the same administration that forced the United States to withdraw from the Paris climate accord and whose CDC issued guidance instructing staff to avoid the words ‘evidence-based.’”
