DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement on Thanksgiving:

“This Thanksgiving, Democrats are thankful for the organizers and activists who worked tirelessly to carry so many Democratic candidates to victory this year. We’re thankful that the new Congress will be the most diverse in history after voters elected record numbers of women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community. We’re thankful for all the public servants fighting to give more Americans access to health care, better job opportunities in an economy that works for everyone, and a brighter future. We’re thankful to all of our first responders, especially those who have put their lives on the line battling the wildfires along our West Coast. And we’re thankful to all the men and women serving in uniform who protect our nation and the values we share, many of whom are stationed apart from their families this holiday season.”
